Threaded Fasteners Tighten Up: The last LSU coach we thought was leaving

LSU has parted ways with head coach ... Nikki Fargas.

Really? You talk about a long shot coming through.

With men’s basketball coach Will Wade making sweet (and illegal) offers on tape to recruits and football coach Ed Orgeron overseeing a program that is accused of another disturbing allegation almost daily, what were the chances that the women’s basketball coach would be the first to go?

Fargas, from all indications is leaving on her own. Reports are she’s in line to become preside of the Las Vegas Aces of the WNBA. In her place, LSU has already hired women’s basketball legend Kim Mulkey.

That sounds like an awesome upgrade for everybody concerned.

Now it’s time for LSU to Tighten Up and make sure Fargas isn’t the last coach seen packing up in Baton Rouge.
