You know, if he’s not 100 percent committed then maybe he should just move on.
But would fans have said the same thing to Najee Harris when he was thinking about transferring from Alabama? Or how would Auburn fans have felt Bo Jackson when he considered leaving Auburn early in his career?
The difference, of course, is the transfer portal. Now, when young athletes start to wonder about whether they made the right college choice, it’s a public story. That’s a new development.
The transfer portal was supposed to be a confidential thing. That lasted about two days.
People have a right to wonder if there’s something better out there for them. It shouldn’t mean they are viewed as a bad teammate.
