Jalen Hurts walked into the interview room after completing a practice with the Philadelphia Eagles. His sweat-soaked T-shirt featured a large Alabama football logo. To further make the point, Hurts greeted the assembles media with a robust “Roll Tide.”
Hurts left Alabama on good terms. But he left Alabama. He decided to become an Oklahoma Sooner. That’s his team.
Nobody in Alabama should dislike Hurts. From every indication he’s an outstanding young man who showed nothing but great effort and class during his time in Tuscaloosa. But he chose to be a Sooner.
As an Oklahoma fan I would be miffed to hear Hurts saying anything other than Boomer Sooner.
I wish Hurts good luck because he seems like a great guy. I hope he’s the next great Oklahoma quarterback in the NFL.
