LOCAL EVENTS:

CITY OF MOBILE CELEBRATES INDEPENDENCE DAY- Thurs 2pm-11pm, Cooper Riverside Park, downtown Mobile

Activities include live music, outdoor family fun, food (available for purchase), and much more. GulfQuest will be open from 2 p.m. - 7 p.m. for exhibit tours ($5) and to buy an all-day pass for the water slide ($5). At 7 p.m., the Mobile Symphonic Pops Band will begin their concert, and at 9 p.m. sharp, there will be a fireworks extravaganza on the Mobile River. CLICK HERE 

SERTOMA’S INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION- Thurs 11am-6pm, with fireworks at 9pm, Seville Square, downtown Pensacola

There will be FREE activities throughout the day, including a FREE Children’s Area with inflatables, rock climbing wall, pony rides, and much more! There will also be Arts and Crafts vendors, Food vendors, and live entertainment (Not Quite Fab, Still Standing) on the Bayfront stage in the evening… followed by fireworks show over the Bay at 9. CLICK HERE

SYMPHONY SPARKS & STARS- Thurs 7:30pm-9:30pm, Hunter Amphitheater, Pensacola Community Maritime Park, downtown Pensacola

The Pensacola Symphony Orchestra will play a patriotic musical performance, among other classical favorites, and continue to play along with an additional fireworks show that will wrap up just before Sertoma's 4th of July Fireworks start at 9:00 p.m.  CLICK HERE

FAIRHOPE’S 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION- Thurs 7pm (concert), 9pm (fireworks), Fairhope Pier

Free concert by the Baldwin Pops in Henry George Park, followed by fireworks at 9pm. CLICK HERE

DAPHNE’S 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION- Thurs 5pm-9pm, Trione Sports Complex, Whispering Pines Rd, Daphne

Fun begins at 5,with Waterslides, Inflatables, Games & FREE Concessions. Fireworks begin at dusk.  CLICK HERE

OWA 4TH OF JULY - Thurs 2pm-9pm, The Park at OWA, Foley

There will be activities in the Park (2pm-6pm), with live music (4-8:30pm) and Inflatables (5:30-8:30pm). GLOWA dance party (8pm and 9:05pm at Main Fountain). Fireworks at 8:45pm.  CLICK HERE    

MOBILE BAYBEARS 4TH OF JULY FIREWORKS- Thurs 6:35pm, Fri 7:05pm, Hank Aaron Stadium

Gulf Coast’s most extravagant fireworks show, following the game between the BayBears and Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp (also Thirsty Thursday). More fireworks after Friday’s game. BayBears also have games Saturday (7:05pm) and Sunday (2:05pm).  CLICK HERE

GRAND BAY WATERMELON FESTIVAL- Wed 3pm-7pm; Thurs 8am-4pm, Odd Fellows Festival Park, Grand Bay

Wednesday features entertainment, food and vendors. Thursday includes Open Car Show, Pretty Baby Contest, Watermelon Eating Contest, Seed Spitting Contest, and all the free, sliced, ice cold watermelon you can eat (on the 4th ONLY). CLICK HERE

Each year, the Mobile Arts Council and the City of Mobile Special Events Department work together to produce Market in the Park. Each week, the market features live musical performances, one-of-a-kind arts and crafts produced by local artisans, and locally grown produce, seafood, cheese and eggs, honeys, flowers and plants, baked goods, pasta, and more. CLICK HERE
