The NBA's Plan To Return Is Unnecessarily Complicated

The NBA's Plan To Return Is Unnecessarily Complicated

The NBA's Board of Governors will meet on Thursday and decide if they want to go forward with the league's plan for a 22-team return-to-play in Orlando. Dan Patrick reviews the proposal and questions why the league is making it more complicated than it needs to be.

DanPatrick:"I don't know why they need to make it so complicated. You have 22 teams playing eight games and that will decide the standings. You're giving the Trail Blazers and the Pelicans a chance to make the playoffs and if they don't then that's it. You go home! Don't make it more complicated. Just give teams a chance and that's it. If you're not there at the end then you don't get to play. It'll be interesting to see which teams are most vulnerable of dropping out. Could this be the NBA's version of relegation, if a team goes on a hot streak and knocks somebody out?"
